Smitty's is known for its buttermilk pancakes, waffles, omelets, salads, sandwich, steaks, pastas.[2] and all day breakfast and lunch menus.
Smitty's makes its own pancake mix, waffle mix, pancake syrup and special blend of ground coffee that can be purchased at some locations[3].
In July 2008 a restaurant in Edmonton kicked out a girl with autism because another customer accused her of being too noisy.[4] The company has apologized and said it will hold fundraisers at various locations for autism research.
